Douglas Elvin Fountain

Douglas “Doug” E. Fountain, age 69 of Vancleave, MS passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 26, 2022 in Vancleave, MS.

He was born on December 25, 1952 in Biloxi, MS. Doug was a graduate of St. Martin High School in St. Martin, MS. Doug spent many years working as a mechanic and later worked in the casino industry as a gaming dealer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Elvin Fountain and Eva Blanchard Fountain; and his sister, Joan Marie Fountain of D’Iberville, MS.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Joyce Fountain, to whom he was happily married for a wonderful 39 years, 11 months, and 21 days; his sisters, Norma (Flip) Fields, Beverly (Arthur) Quave; one son, Jason E. (Carola) Fountain; one daughter, Angela N. (Justin) Whiddon; three grandchildren, Eva, Thomas, and Grayson; nine nephews, Todd, Larry, Kevin, Darren, Teddy, William, Jr., Brent, Frank, and Keith; and ten nieces, Kim, Deneen, Dana, Analyse, Christine, Mary, Pamela, Kelly, Christina, and Anastasia.
