Douglas Edward Gill

Mr. Douglas E. "Doug" Gill, 57, of D'Iberville, MS, died Monday, April 10, 2006 in Biloxi. Mr. Gill was a native and lifelong resident of D'Iberville. He was a 1966 graduate of Notre Dame High School and a 1971 graduate of Mississippi State University with a Batchelors Degree in Business Administration. During his banking career, Mr. Gill was employed with several banks along the coast which included the Bank of Mississippi where he served as a loan officer for thirteen years. The Peoples Bank in D'Iberville for fourteen years where he was branch manager and vice president. He retired from Coast Community Bank after eight years of service as Senior Vice President. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mr. Gill was preceded in death by his father, Earl Gill. Survivors include his wife of thirty six years, Eloise Gill, of D'Iberville; two sons, Eric Gill and his wife, Jennifer, and Chad Gill and his fiance', Shawn, all of D'Iberville; his mother, Janice Seymour Gill, of D'Iberville; one sister, Sandy Miller, and her husband, Joe, of Woolmarket; three grandchildren, Addison Gill, Jordan Gill and Gabby Semonelle; his niece, Angie Stenum, of Woolmarket, and his great niece and nephew, Peyton and Makenzie Stenum of Woolmarket. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at 11:30 a.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi where friends may visit from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
