Douglas "Doug" Parker

Douglas “Doug” Parker born on July 20, 1942 in Greenville, AL passed away at home in Ocean Springs, MS at the age of 81. He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irby L. Parker and Lillie Green Parker; four brothers; and stepdaughter, Darla Argroves.

Doug is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Emma Jo Parker; daughter, Christy Reed; stepsons, Richard (Andrea) Argroves and Dudley (Cheryl) Young; two sisters; one brother; two step granddaughters, Julia and Emily Argroves.

He will greatly be missed and will forever be in our hearts.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Deaconess Hospice, especially to Vanessa, Pam, and Jackie.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery.
