It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Duane “Allen” Davis. He left us unexpectedly on December 28, 2024, at the age of 46, from his work home in Jackson, MS. His vibrant spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him.
Allen was born on February 17, 1978 in Ocean Springs, MS. He graduated from Ocean Springs High School in 1996. He spent his high school summers and early adulthood working and traveling throughout the Middle East. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed taking rides through the backwoods of Ocean Springs in his beloved Army truck.
He was a Senior Maintenance Specialist for more than twenty years and traveled all over the world helping communities recover from natural disasters. He loved his work life and considered his coworkers as family. He was a member of the Elks Lodge Fraternity of Ocean Springs and participated in many fundraising events for the community.
Allen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Duke and Beryl Davis and Clayton Sizemore, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Vanessa Davis; step-daughter, Phoebe Fuentes; parents, Duane and Muriel Davis; brother, Dean Davis; niece, Kyra Davis; grandmother, Edna Sizemore; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
A celebration of Allen’s life will be held in the Spring. His absence will be deeply felt and family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared.
