Duffie Kate "Connie" Powell

Mrs. Duffie "Connie" Powell, 79, of Kiefer, OK, died Friday, October 15, 2010, in Tulsa, OK. Mrs. Powell was born in Deatsville, AL and had been a longtime resident of the coast before moving to Oklahoma. She was a very loving, kind and gentle lady who always put others ahead of herself. She was a fine Christian lady and a member of Brodie Road Baptist Church in Biloxi and June Rose Assembly of God in Kiefer. Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest E. Powell and a daughter, Denise Gail Stringham. Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Kay (John Larry) Sylwester of Denver, CO, and Sandra Lugene (Randy Clifford) Powell-Holt of Keifer, OK; three grandchildren, Clifford Eugene Holt, Jaime Dawn Holt and Joanna Grace Sylwester; and one great grandchild, Jonah Nathaniel Caswell. Visitation is Wednesday, Ocotober 20, 2010, from 10 until 11 a.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
