Durwood Imgrund

Durwood "Skip" Imgrund, 59, of Biloxi, MS, died February 9, 2006, at Biloxi Regional Medical Center. Born April 15, 1946 in Biloxi, "Skip" attended school in Biloxi working as a deck hand and later becoming a sea capatain. His great love was the water and he saw the world as he sailed for over 30 years as a sea captain for different companies until becoming disabled. His dream was to return to the sea that he loved. Mr. Imgrund had no living relatives, but will be fondly remembered by long-time care giver, Ruth Nolan of Biloxi, and her family; ex-wife, Edna Montez; step-sons, Thomas Rimes and Larry Rimes; step-daughter, Cheryl Rimes, all of Texas and friends along the coast and around the world. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memorial/Honor Program FH, One St. Jude Place Building, Memphis, TN 38148-0552. The Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
