E. Patrick Marchbanks

E. Patrick Marchbanks, 23, of Gulfport died Friday, January 28, 2005 in Gulfport after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Marchbanks was a lifelong resident of Gulfport where he attended St. James Elementary, St. John High School, and was a 1999 graduate of Gulfport High School. He attended the Jeff Davis Campus of MS Gulf Coast Community College. Mr. Marchbanks was owner of Golden Age Comics & Games and was a respected comic book industry advisor. He also worked with his father, Dr. George A. Marchbanks, in Hattiesburg. Mr. Marchbanks is survived by his parents Nancy and George Marchbanks, sister Alexa Corinne Marchbanks, brother Kyle Andrew Marchbanks, grandmothers Irene Betchaver and Elizabeth Marchbanks, all of Gulfport; Patrick’s Uncles, James and Mark Betchaver and James’ wife Margaret, both of NY, and Lamon Marchbanks and his wife Lanette of MN; Cousins, Scott and Jaclyn of NY and Chelsea and Lindsay of MN; and many beloved friends. Service will be Wednesday February 2, 2005 at 2PM at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on 15th Street in Gulfport. Visitation will be from 12-2PM. Interment will be in Southern Memorial Park.
