Mr. Earle Richard, age 85, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Richard was born on February 18, 1921, in McCarley, MS., Carroll County, and was a resident of Ocean Springs since 1969. He served with the 2nd Marine Division in the Pacific Arena and retired as a teacher from the Ocean Springs School District after nine years. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Ocean Springs where he served as a deacon and Sunday School Teacher. Mr. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Ola Brown Richard. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mildred Scott Richard of Ocean Springs, MS., a son, Earle Scott Richard of Ocean Springs, MS., three daughters, Ann Richard White and husband, David, of Natchez, MS., Sue Richard Griffin of Houston, TX., and Laura L. Richard Kiernan, and husband, George, of Ocean Springs, nine grandchildren, Elizabeth White Farmer of Natchez, MS., Joel O. White of Pensacola, FL., Katie White Calhoun of Birmingham, AL., John D. White of Pensacola, FL., Jessica L. Richard, Kendra M. Richard, George Kiernan IV, Linda Rogers and David Kiernan, all of Ocean Springs, MS., nineteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 4, 2006, from 6-8 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Friday, May 5, 2006, there will be a 10 AM chapel service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joel O. White, John D. White, Gary Farmer, Marc Calhoun, Jefferson Rogers, and George Kiernan IV. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Ocean Springs Building Fund, 602 Washington Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS., 39564, or to the American Heart Association, P.O.
