Eddie C. Brown, Sr.

Eddie Charles Brown, Sr., 75, of Modesto, Calif., died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at his home in Modesto. Mr. Brown was a native of Jackson County, Miss., and lived in Modesto and Stanislaus County for 35 years and in California for 50 years. He was a lineman, pole setter and truck driver for Pacific Gas and Electric for 37 years. He was a member of the Baptist faith and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He previously served in the U. S. Air Force. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and returning to Mississippi for visits. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Lynn Brown. He is survived by his children, David Brown of Riverbank, Calif., Eddie Brown, Jr., and Eddie Brown, III, both of Modesto, Calif.; sisters, Marian Lamey of Latimer, Fern Richards of D'Iberville, and Emmy Chisman, of Loveland, Ohio; and two grandchildren. The funeral service was held at Lakewood Funeral Home in Hughson, Calif. The graveside service will be Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Maxie Methodist Church Cemetery in Maxie, MS.
