Eddie Eugene Stafford, Jr.

Mr. Eddie E. "Tinker" Stafford, Jr., 84, of Biloxi, MS, passed on to his maker Friday, February 15, 2008, in Gulfport. Mr. Stafford was a lifelong resident of Biloxi and retired from the U. S. Postal Service after serving in several management positions in Biloxi. He was very proud that he was a member of a family with a combined total of over 100 years of postal service to the Biloxi Community. Tinker was a long time member of Sunkist Country Club and also the National Association of Postal supervisors. he was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Mr. Stafford was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie E. Stafford, Sr. and Eunice Romero Gonsoulin. He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Stafford; sons, Tim (Sue) Stafford and Michael Stafford of Biloxi; daughter, Susan (Lyndell) Lepre of D'Iberville; step-son, Steve (Caroll) Taylor of Pensacola, FL; step-daughter, Melodie Taylor of Birmingham, AL; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Southern Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Canon Hospice, 1520 Suite 500, Gulfport, MS 39501, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church St. Vincent De Paul, 314 Jim Money Road, Biloxi, MS 39531, or to the the charity of one's choice. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pass Road, in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
