Eddie Clinton McNair, Jr. died peacefully in Ocean Springs, Mississippi on January 14th, 2016, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 81-years-old.
Born July 24, 1934 in Corinth, Mississippi he was the only child of his parents, Etha V. Webb McNair and Edward Clinton McNair. He graduated from Biggersville High School in 1953 and married his high-school sweetheart, Linda Lou Brawner in 1965.
He was a devoted employee at the Coca-Cola Bottling Works Company for more than 40 years, where he made countless friends. Eddie never met a stranger.
He served as a deacon and elder at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Biggersville and was an active member at his church in Ocean Springs.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou Brawner McNair; and his brother-in-law, Jimmy Brawner.
Mr. McNair is survived by his daughter, Leah McNair Christensen; son-in-law, Kevin J. Christensen; and beloved grandson, Soren Asher Christensen of New Orleans, Louisiana. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Wayne Tice Brawner; and nieces, Freida Brawner Stanford and her husband Larry, Jenny Brawner Day and husband John and nephew Ricky Brawner and his wife Ruby.
A celebration of his life will be scheduled in Corinth at the New Hope Presbyterian Church at a future time, details to be announced.
The family would like to thank his exceptional caregivers at Ocean Springs Hospital and Wanda Berryhill and her kind dedicated family for their loving care throughout the years.
