Mr. Edgar Pipes Guice, Jr., age 79, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Wednesday, February 21, 2007, in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Guice was born on January 23, 1928, and attended schools in the Ocean Springs School District. He served as a private in the US Army and then worked for Kennedy Engine Marine as a diesel engineer where he traveled throughout the world with the Western Geo-Physical Company on seismograph ships. He loved to go turkey and duck hunting, sailing and riding around on the beach. He was a beekeeper and loved to build birdhouses. We all loved the stories he would tell us and when he traveled to many countries he would always bring us gifts. He was a wonderful father that loved God with all of his heart. The Angels have welcomed him home. He loved his family, children, his friends, and his pet dog, Pipes. He was always helpful to those less fortunate than he.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Bauman Guice, son, David P. Guice, parents, Edgar P. Guice, Sr. and Margaret Kennedy Guice and a brother, James (Jimmy) Guice.
Survivors include his sisters, Marge Guice Learned and Maralou Guice Hutto, his children, Victoria Lienhardt, John Guice, Jeannie Lowery, Perry Guice, Kimberly Lowery, Timothy Guice, Keith Guice and Carron Hall, twenty one grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren.
