Edna E. Brady, 89, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away Monday, August 21, 2023.
Edna was born November 6, 1933 in Calhoun County, MS to Ford and Huldie Naron. She received a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Elementary Education from University of Southern Mississippi. Following graduation, she worked as a second-grade teacher at College Park Elementary in Gautier, MS for over 20 years. She was also a teacher in Georgia for 10 years. After retirement, Edna worked as an OSH Auxiliary volunteer, GED Teacher for Jackson County and a volunteer Counselor/GED Teacher at the Home of Grace. Edna loved reading and working in the yard. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Vancleave, MS. Edna loved helping people and did so by working as a volunteer for numerous organizations in Jackson County, MS
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ford and Huldie Naron; husband, William L. Brady Sr.; son, David V Brady; and sister, Patricia McClure.
Survivors include her sons, William L. Brady Jr. and wife, Gale Brady, Darryl F. Brady and wife, Dawn Brady, and Robert A. Brady and wife, Olivia Brady; daughter-in-law, Georgette Brady; granddaughters, Amber Polk, Courtney Maric, Holly Brady and Victoria Brady; grandsons Josh Brady, Darryl Brady II, Justin Brady and Luke Brady; great-granddaughters, Carsyn Polk, Sara Kate Polk, Evie Maric, Bryelle Brady, Avery Parker Brady, and Quinsey Brady; great-grandsons, Levi Polk, Jaxon Brady, Brady Maric, Couper Brady, and Darryl Brady III; and brother, Russell Naron.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday August 29, 2023 at First Baptist Church Vancleave, MS. Friends are invited to visit 10 am to 11:30 am. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in the name of Edna Brady to Home of Grace Vancleave, MS.
