Mrs. Edna Marie Walker Burton, age 61, died Friday, September 30, 2016, in Biloxi. She was born in Meridian, MS and had been a longtime resident of the Gulf Coast. Edna earned a Master's Degree from South Alabama University and served in the U. S. Air Force. She retired from the Biloxi V A Medical Center where she was employed as a registered nurse. She enjoyed boxing, shopping and having her hair and nails done. She is survived by her loving husband, Lee Burton; son, Gabriel (Chelsee) Burton; grandchild, Landen Scarborough; and other loving family members, Brenda Walker, DJuana “DJ” Pittman, Derrick Walker, A.D. “Dumon” Dillard, James “Jamie” Walker Jr, Francean Clarke, Placelia Lynne Dillard, Rev. Dillard and Willie Dillard. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road, in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time. Rev. Dumon "A D" Dillard will be officiating. Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
