Edna Marie Story, 88, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by love on September 1st. She was born April 8, 1934 in Lakewood, New Jersey; however, she was a long time resident of Gautier, MS.
She spent her life raising eight children and babysitting most of Gautier. She was of Catholic Faith and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church of Gautier for many years.
She was a woman full of faith, love, and spunk. She enjoyed going to all the dollar stores, thrifting, and going to garage sales. It was said you couldn't leave her house without a bag; She loved to give to everyone, be it the mailman, the bread lady, or the neighbors. She was always laughing and making everyone around her laugh. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and family; Her love and strength will shine through them. She was the strongest woman we knew.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Emil and Marie Warner Emrey; her husbands, Daniel Story and Robert Blake; her sister, Jean Emrey; and her brother, George Emrey.
Surviving her are her children and their spouses, Bob Blake (Jan), Jean Slater (Jack), Michael Blake (Trista), Trish Schroeder (Dennis), Larry Blake, Carol Mills (Jim), Danny Blake (Martha), and Stephanie Hyatt (Jon); her grandchildren, Sarah Schroeder, Ashley Mills (Tyler), Lindsey Mills, Katelyn Hults-Ladnier (Stephen), Claire Hults, Lauren Hults, Lana Hults-Bentley (Carter), Jonathan Hyatt, Jacob Hyatt; and her great-granddaughter, Madelynn Roberts; and her precious puppy, Misty.
We would like to say Thank You to Lolita, Chase, and their boys for helping fulfill her wishes of being home and for all the love and compassion they have shown our family.

Her Favorite Verse:
Psalms 23:1-6
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Weep not for me though I have gone
Into that gentle night
Grieve if you will but not for long
Upon my soul's sweet flight
I am at peace, my soul's at rest
There is no need for tears
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years
There is no pain, I suffer not
The fear is now all gone
Put now these things out of your thoughts
In your memory I live on
Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife
Please do not dwell upon my death
But celebrate my life
