Mr. Edward Earl Phelps, Sr., 61, of Biloxi, Mississippi, died Monday, April 10, 2006, in Biloxi.
Mr. Phelps was a native and lifelong resident of the coast. He was a driver for Yellow Cab Company for over fifteen years. Mr. Phelps passed away Monday night at his residence in Biloxi surrounded by his family. The family would like to give special thanks to Trinity Hospice.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ollie B. Posey and father, Willie Phelps; his great grandson, James Chance Davis; two sisters, Kathrine Ann Phelps and Leslie N. Ripply, and two brothers, Robert Earl Phelps and Robert M. Phelps.
Survivors include three daughters, Katherine Ann Gonzales and Lisa Jane Phelps of Gulfport, and Tammy Marie Green of Pass Christian; one son, Edward Earl Phelps, Jr., of Gulfport; his first wife, Zelda Phelps of Gulfport; his second wife, Lois Ann Phelps of Biloxi; fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 14, 2006, at 5 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi where friends may visit from 4 until 6 p.m.
