Edward "Eddie" Allen Jones, Jr.

Edward “Eddie” Allen Jones, Jr., age 66, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in Gulfport. 

Eddie was born in Water Valley, MS.  He was a graduate of St. Martin High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering.  Eddie was an independent licensed insurance agent and an Enrolled IRS Agent C.A.A. He was a member of Handsboro United Methodist Church, a past president of Kiwanis Club, and served in the Seabees from 1972 thru 1976.  Eddie held a black belt in karate, was a certified scuba diver and was a licensed residential contractor.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee and Ruby Denley and Spencer and Lucille Jones.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Kathy Jones; son, Edward “Trey” Allen Jones III; father and step-mother, Ed and Usa Jones; mother, Shirley Jones; brother, Adair Jones; and sister, Dawn Molz.

Memorials may be made to Handsboro United Methodist Church, 2333 Demaret Drive, Gulfport, MS 39507.  The family extends their gratitude to Dr. John and Susan McCay, Mary Harvey and the D’Iberville Moose Lodge.

The Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Handsboro United Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M. with the visitation one-hour before at 10:00 a.m.  There will be a reception following in the fellowship hall.
