Edward Rupert Hanson Jr., 68, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015.
Our hearts are heavy in the quiet that replaces his gift of gab and socializing. He loved going out for coffee or out to eat Biloxi Seafood and socializing - talking about sports, the New Orleans Saints, Alabama Crimson Tide, and now the Biloxi Shuckers. Go Shuckers! He loved traveling – despite the effort he had to make due to the handicaps that challenged his mobility.
The last year of his life South Mississippi Nephrology and Fresenius Dialysis of Biloxi drained away his body. As he lost more and more strength, he was unable to keep going. Finally with his strength and enthusiasm faded, he was admitted to Memorial Hospital ICU for 3 weeks, where he lost his battle for life.
He loved being Pawpaw to Nick, Nathan and Daniel. Edward was looking forward to attending Daniel’s graduation. He was so proud of him and will be with him in spirit. Watching each of his grandchildren grow was a pleasure in life for Edward. He will remain with them all in spirit.
Survivors include his wife, Frankie Frith Hanson; daughter, Jamie Copple and her husband, Russell and their son, Nick; Jamie’s other sons, Daniel and Nathan Thibault and their father, James Thibault; sister, Shelia Sue Dean and her husband, John; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
