Edward George Robinson

Mr. Edward George Robinson passed graciously into eternity on February 18, 2015 at the age of 79. He was born on March 10, 1935 to the late Sugar Robinson and the late Lille Lashley in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a young man, Mr. Robinson relocated to Biloxi, Mississippi where he shared 50 years of matrimony with the late Edith Robinson. Although he was a man of few words, his character and actions spoke multitudes for him. Throughout his career, whether a truck driver for Falstaff Beer Company, a cook at Broadwater Inn or a warehouse worker at Keesler Air Force Base, he always exhibited an excellent work ethic. There was constant acknowledgement of his hard work and dedication displayed by the many awards he acquired until his retirement. A truly humble man, while often working two jobs, he always had time to fulfill his family duties and obligations. He took such pleasure in simple things such watching football, painting the house, yard work, or just sitting in the yard. In his latter years, as his health began to fail, he remained humble. He lost his eyesight, he lost his leg, he lost his independence, and yet he never complained. His strength and endurance will be cherished by the four generations left to lead his legacy. He will never be forgotten – his love remains forever. Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, Sugar Robinson and Lillie Lashley; his wife, Edith Robinson; his brothers, Sidney Robinson, Walter Robinson, Lionel Ashely, August Lashley, Robert Lashley, Albert Wilson; his sister, Vannetta Lashley; his stepson, Edward Jackson; and his daughter-in-law, Deborah Jackson. He’s survived by his two sons, Larry Jackson of Soledad, CA, and Kirk (Regina) Jackson of Biloxi, MS; five daughters, Belinda (Steven) Bishop of Stockton, CA, Loretta Gredzens, Lucinda Jackson and Priscilla (Bernard) Rosado all of Biloxi, MS, Lynda (Claude) Manica (stepdaughter) of Louisville, KY; 17 grandchildren, Shenai (Patrick) Walker, Edith (Marvin) Malbrough, Faith Stallworth, Chris Moore, Larry Stallings, Lucretis (Travis) Cotman, Micheala Robinson, Vernon Stallings, Delisha (Keith) Lee, Alicia Robinson, Tashara (Carlos) Claudio, DeAndrelas Robinson, Allen Fairley Jr., Roderick Robinson, Darryl Stallings, Courtney Jackson, and Alex Jackson; 32 great-grandchildren, Cory (Marquita) Robinson, Angelica Robinson, Cameron Cooley, Abreanna Cooley, Deslah Robinson, Brittany Grace Jaylin Robinson, Aaliyah Robinson, Seleena Evans, Marcus Claudio, Christian Claudio, Bryce Claudio, Braden Claudio, Jackson Robinson, Donovan Robinson, Christian Jackson, Karmen Jackson, Desean Stallworth, Jasean Stallworth, Iyana McFrugally and a host of others; 11 great-great-grandchildren, Ravien, Kyree, Fallon, Nevaeh, Jacory, Messiah, Brayden, Kymarii, Akayshia, Tristan, and America; his two sisters, Hazel Malberta Wilson, and Barbara Ann Lashley both of New Orleans, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and wonderful friends.
