Edwin Emmett Burt III

Mr. Edwin E. Burt, III, age 88, of Vancleave, MS., died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, in Gautier. Mr. Burt was a member of Bonnie Chapel UMC in Vancleave, the Vancleave Masonic Lodge, and was in the Order of the Eastern Star in the Daisy Vestry Community and in Vancleave. He served in the US Army during WWII in the Pacific Area. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Oma Burt of Vancleave, three daughters, Katherine Sue Kuritz of Choctaw, OK., Ruth Ellen Havens of Vancleave, and Shelia Gale Raynor of Cleveland, MS., one son, Edwin E. Burt IV of Vancleave, sister, Mary Frances Thomas of Wiggins, MS., four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 7, 2008, from 1-2 PM, with a 2 PM church service all at the Bonnie Chapel UMC in Vancleave. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family prefers donations be made to the Bonnie Chapel UMC. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
