Edwin Berry, 73, of Gau¬tier, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, Ms.
He was born on April 5, 1938 in San Diego, CA. He was a devoted husband to Larue, a much loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Ed worked for and retired from Hopeman Brothers after 40 years of dedicated employ¬ment as Superintendent. He loved to go on cruises with his beloved wife Larue. He was an avid hobbyist and enjoyed building trains and boats, and he loved to fly airplanes. While working for Hopeman Brothers in Maryland he was given timber and large nails from the US Constellation which he used to create a model of the US Constellation.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Edwin and Aileen Louise Berry; two sons, Greg Cottongin, and David Berry and a daughter, Connie Cottongin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Larue Berry of Gautier, MS; daughters, Donna Cot¬tongin of Cedar Grove, TX, Patty McGovern (Eddie) of New Bern, NC, Melendia Jones (Wayne) of Alba, TX, Donna Gilbreath (Kregg) of Udall, KS; a son, Daniel Berry (Jeanne) of Mineola, TX; a sister, Nancy Parson of Gautier, MS; seventeen grandchildren, Michele Poteet, Trey, Jen¬nifer and Jessica McGovern, Mark Pingingtore, DJ Walker, Sean, Cody and Christopher Berry, Chase and Miles Bell, Felecia, Joshua, Kaleb and Joy Franklin, Brandon Nichols and Tiffany Andrews; three great-grandchildren, Seth Kaelin, Wynter and Ryver Berry.
