Edwin W. Thrash

Edwin W. Thrash, age 98, of Saucier passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in Saucier. He was preceded in death by his father, Eli Thrash, mother, Emily Thrash; and grandson, Kai Thrash. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Tina Thrash; and sons, Gary (Betty), Larry (Bonnie), Bary (Kathy); seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. He was a member of J.L. Power Masonic Lodge # 416 for fifty years. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, served in the MS Air National Guard and retired from Keesler AFB Fire Department with thirty years of service. The family would like to express deepest appreciation to Odyssey Hospie, especially Paul, Lisa, Andrew, and Sharon. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial donations to Kai Thrash Memorial Scholarship, MGCCC Foundation, P.O. Box 99, Perkinston, MS 39573 or the charity of your choice. The funeral service will be held Monday, October 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Saucier Missionary Baptist Church where friends may visit beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Saucier Cemetery.
