Elgin Lee, Jr., age 73 of Vancleave, MS passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 in New Orleans, LA.
He was born on November 20, 1946 in Sumrall, MS. Elgin was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and served as a crew chief aboard B-52 bombers. He is retired from the U.S. Air Force after twenty-eight years of service with several accomplishments and obtained the rank of Master Sergeant. Elgin loved working on cars, tractors, and airplanes and being a mechanic. He was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Elgin is preceded in death by his parents, Elgin and Christine Lee; beloved wife, Prakong Lee; brother, Billy Wayne Lee; and sisters, Mary Hipp and Joyce Curry.
He is survived by his children, David Lee of Vancleave and Robin (Bethany) Lee of Clinton; grandchild, Robin Maddox Lee; and sibling, Cheryle Tolar of Brandon.
In lieu of flowers the family would like to ask that donations be made to Elgin Lee, Jr’s name to The Wounded Warrior Project.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Thanee Miles for the companionship, care, and love she gave to Eglin over the last six years. The family would also like to extends a special thank you to all the doctors and nurses that cared for him over the past ten years.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Coaltown Cemetery in Purvis, MS with Military Honors. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, Biloxi, MS is in charge of arrangements.
