Eli Carson Hayes-McCloskey

Eli Carson Hayes-McCloskey passed peacefully in the arms of his parents on November 14, 2015. Eli was born in Biloxi, MS on November 13, 2015, the son of Lynda Hayes of Ocean Springs, MS and Timothy McCloskey of Gautier, MS. He was 1 lb, 15 oz and 14 inches with his father’s nose and his mother’s feet. He is also survived by his grandparents: (maternal) Stephen Hayes and Erlinda and Adam Cardoza, and (paternal) Nancy and Dale McGill; his great-grandmother, Vernice Kleeberg; his aunts and uncles: Carolyn and Dominic Robinson, Cynthia and Justin Rae, John Eng, Michael Eng, George Eng, Michael and Charlene McCloskey, Charles McCloskey, and Jamie and Darren Hopkins; and cousins: McKenzie, Victoria, Xavier, Cameron, Collin, Calli, and Zander; and other extended family members who love him. Eli lived one short day, but left a giant wave of love that will forever move all of us who care for him. He is now with his late grandfather Michael McCloskey, riding sunsets of brilliant colors, and his late Great-Aunt Ellen, tossing stars across the sky. He is loved, adored, and greatly missed. From his mother: I have not one heart, but two / Your heart is within mine / What I touch, you touch, my son / My hands are your hands / Where I travel, you travel, my dear / My feet are your feet. From his father: Eli, your birth is the best thing to happen to me. You will always be my inspiration in life. We will find you in everything beautiful, Eli Carson. Private services will be held at a later date. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
