Elizabeth B. "Betty" Nolen

Elizabeth B. "Betty" Nolen, 89 of Gulfport died Friday, November 8, 2013 in Gulfport. Mrs. Nolen was born in Purdue Hill, AL and had been a resident of Gulfport since 1954. She was a member of St. Peters by the Sea Episcopal Church and was a life member of the Junior Auxillary. Mrs. Nolen retired in 2001 from NCBC where she was an education technician at Navy Campus. Mrs. Nolen was preceded in death by her parents, William Lipscomb Brown and Lucy Susan Gaillard Brown; her husband, Zachariah Jackson Nolen; and a sister, Sue James. Survivors include four daughters, Elizabeth Poole of Gulfport, Nancy Nolen of Jackson, AL, Palmer "Pam"(John)Macintosh of Garland, TX and Susan Nolen of The Woodland, TX, a son, Thurston J. "Bud" (Kim) Nolen of Gulfport; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The funeral service will be Monday, November 11, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Peters by the Sea Episcopal Church where friends may visit one hour before the service. The graveside service will be Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Prattville, Al. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th St. Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
