Elizabeth Eleuterius Mattina, 85, of Biloxi, MS passed over March 11, 2012.
Elizabeth “CeCe” was born in Bayou La Batre, AL. She resided in Biloxi for over 80 years where she was a retired Harrison County VA representative, a longtime member of the Biloxi VFW Post Auxiliary and Biloxi Beauvoir chapter # 623 United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Mae Bosarge Eleuterius; father, Sherman and step-mother, Olive Romero Eleuterius.
Survivors include two daughters, Cassandra (Fred) Griswold and Phyllis (David) Gigl; four grandchildren, Elizabeth (Joshua) Joachim, Fred (Trisha) Griswold, IV, Candice Marsalis of Sunset, LA and David (Melissa) Gigl, Jr. of Milwaukee, WI; 10 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Sherman (Rita) Eleuterius and Robert “Bobby” (Nancy) Eleuterius.
Per her request no wake or burial service will be held, only a private family celebration of life.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to our local American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
