Elizabeth Priscilla Gardner

Elizabeth Priscilla Maccaro Gardner, age 77, of Long Beach, MS passed away Monday, August 2, 2021, in Gulfport. She was born March 23, 1944 in Lynn, Massachusetts, which is 10 miles north of Boston. She was proud to say that she was born and raised a Northerner. She was of Greek and Italian descent and followed the Catholic faith. Elizabeth will be reunited with her parents Harry and Mary Maccaro, who both preceded her in death. Her two sisters, Amelia Gamble and Carol Wilson-Broome, preceded her in death as well. The proud Northerner moved to Gulfport, Mississippi in the mid -80’s. Elizabeth developed a passion for doing nails and became a nail technician and opened her very own nail salon. She loved her family with all her heart and enjoyed every moment she spent with them. She cherished her Girl’s Day she had with Mary which often consisted of hitting the casinos, getting a mani/pedi and enjoying a good meal. She was an avid shopper of QVC & HSN and received packages almost on a daily basis. Most of the times those packages were for her family because she loved bringing joy to them. She watched her “stories” on TV like it was the nightly news. Everyone that knew Elizabeth knew that she had a green thumb and loved to go outside and do some gardening. She also loved to paint and to make ceramics. She loved to listen to music and was a fan of George Michael. She enjoyed life and tried to live it to the fullest and did not limit herself. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly looks like. There was no quit in Elizabeth. Elizabeth loved her fur babies and her little Chihuahua Buck was her companion and best friend and went with her everywhere. Her fur babies Buster, Little Girl, Harley and Mid Knight are all in doggie heaven. In 1991, Elizabeth met a gentleman by the name of Daniel (Dan) Gardner at The Beachcomber Lounge in Pass Christian, Mississippi. In August 1993, they wed in an intimate ceremony with family and friends sharing in their joy. Dan and Elizabeth were married for 27 years until her passing. They would have celebrated their 28th anniversary on August 28th. Dan was a devoted and loving husband who was her caregiver and was there from the beginning of her illness until her death. Elizabeth leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband of 27 years, Dan Gardner; her supportive and caring children, Jennifer Therrien (David), Edward (Eddie) Clements and Mary Godine (Reggie); her precious grandchildren, Daniel Brashier (Paige), Jessica Boyd (Kyle), Melanie West (John Garyth), DeAndre’ (Dre-Dre) Carter (Ariel), D’Lexus Carter and DeAira Carter; her one and only surviving sister, Deborah Husband, who loved her dearly; her lovely nieces, Sandra Wilson Eubanks (Jamie) and Jody Husband who was also her God Daughter, both were special to her; her nephews Steven Wilson, who was also her God Son, Harry Husband, Junior Husband (Kali), Hayden Husband; her great nieces, Cecelia Wilson, Ashlyn Wilson, Lilly Husband and Rosie Husband as well as her great grandchildren Braxton Boyd, Carter Brashier and Jasper Brashier.
