Elizabeth Carol King, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013.
Carol graduated from St. Martin High School in 1972. She lived her entire life on the Gulf Coast and was retired from Hancock Bank. Carol adored life. She loved to laugh. Her favorite things were her family, Johnny Mathis music, working in the yard, cooking and her dogs.
Carol is preceded in death by her loving mother, Margaret Marie Lindsey; her loving grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lamey and Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Lindsey; her aunts and uncles, Bill (Jane) Lindsey, Hugh (Vivian Lindsey) Ferguson, Hiram (Lillian Lindsey) Taylor, Ruby Lindsey, Bill Keith, Frank Lindsey, John Lindsey, Emory Lizana and Sonny (Jeanette Lamey) McClellon; and her cousin, Greg Lamey.
Carol is survived by her loving father, Alex Lindsey; her loving brother, Michael Lindsey; her loving husband of 19 years, Rickey King; her loving son, Jason Chad Pevey; her loving step-son, Randall King; her grandchild, Korrine Pevey; her aunts and uncles, Wanda Lizana, Gerald (Charlotte) Lamey, James Lindsey, Nan Lindsey Keith and Joyce Lindsey Meadows; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Carol's family prefers donations be made to the American Stroke Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692 or to the Humane Society of South MS, 2615 25th Ave., Gulfport, MS 39501.
Funeral Services will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 12:00 noon. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
