Ellen Anne Morgan Toups

Ellen Anne Morgan Toups, 84 of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at home. Her strong faith and eternal optimism helped her to fight a 37-year battle with cancer with grace and dignity.

She was born on October 18, 1939 in Biloxi, MS to Eleanor McShane Morgan and William Madison Morgan, Jr. she graduated from Sacred Heart Girl’s Academy in Biloxi and Providence School of Nursing in Mobile, AL. She was employed as a Registered Nurse and was a homemaker. Mom loved gardening and found great joy in all of the wildlife in Cherokee Glenn especially the hummingbirds and her cats.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, “Doc” Morgan and Eleanor Morgan; husband of sixty-two years, E. Mark Toups; and brother, Bill Morgan.

She is survived by her children, Tommy (Deborah) Toups of Ocean Springs, Cathy (Dwayne) Rash of D’Iberville, MS, Tricia Perry of Ocoee, FL, Anne Marie (Ralph) Borries of Ocean Springs, MS; grandchildren, Dr. Morgan Biggo of Los Angeles, CA, Brennan Perry of Ocoee, Fl, Madison Perry of Ocoee, FL, Maggie Toups of Ocean Springs, MS, Avery Toups of Vancleave, MS, and Riley Borries of Ocean Springs, MS; great-grandchildren, Brayden Toups of Ocean Springs, MS and Hendrix Hayes Perry of Bell, FL; and sister-in-law, Edwina (John) Wells of Gulfport, MS.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Derbie Toups who so lovingly cared for mom.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Monday, July 29, 2024 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Ocean Springs. Friends may visit from 10:30am until mass. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
