Ellen M. Husley Fayard

Ellen M. Husley Fayard, 87, of the Success Community, passed away at home March 10, 2009. She was born in Woolmarket on December 15, 1921. She was a member of Morris Hill Baptist Church. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Baltz and Mary Nelson Husley, four brothers, Orin, Pat, Andrew and Ernest, one sister, Mazie Stewart and two grandsons, Ronald and Milton Cates. Ellen is survived by the love of her life, Preston Fayard of the Success Community to whom she was married for 69 years, two daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen Yvonne (Howard) Delancey of the Success Community, Carolyn Annette (Franklin "Dee") of the Cedar Lake Community, three grandsons, Preston ("Peanut") (Mary) Delancey, Bryan Delancey of the Success Community and Donald Cates of the Cedar Lake Community, four great-grandchildren, Matthew Delancey, Michelle (James) Griffith, Bryan (Cassie) Delancey, Jr., Natalie Delancey, three great-great granddaughters, Autumn, Trinity and Kadance Delancey, all of the Success Community, two sisters-in-law, Mittie Husley and Ruby Husley, both of Woolmarket, and many other family members and friends as well as her church family. Visitation is Thursday, March 12, 2009, starting at 6:00 p.m. at Morris Hill Baptist Church until service time at 10 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2009. Interment is in Blackwell Cemetery.
