Ellison Doris Boyer

Mrs. Ellison "Doris" Boyer, 87, of Biloxi, MS, died Tuesday, November 11, 2011, in Gulfport. Mrs. Boyer was born in Kansas City, MO. She was a former resident of Hammond, IN and had been a resident of the coast since 1978. She served as a volunteer with AARP and local libraries, and she was a voting poll worker. Mrs. Boyer was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Boyer, and her parents, Walter and Ellison Brown May. She is survived by her daughters, Christy (Joe) Lawrence, Debbie (Skip) Brown and Susie (Howard) Munding; her sons, Bob Boyer, Tom Boyer and Wally (Debbie) Boyer; brother, Walter C. (Ardes) May; seven grandchidren and thirteen great grandchildren. Visitation is Thursday, November 17, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pass Road, in Biloxi. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
