Elsie Mae Schaub Trest

Elsie Mae Schaub Trest, age 86, of Pass Christian, died Tuesday, February 26, 2008 in Pass Christian. She was born in New Orleans and had been a resident of the Coast for about 60 years. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Dubuisson. She was a former member of VFW Auxiliary, AARP, NARFE and PTA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. William James Trest, Sr. (U.S. Army, retired); her parents, Richard and Julia Toelke Schaub of New Orleans; and her brother, George Schaub, who died in action during WWII. Mrs. Trest is survived by two sons, William James "Jim" Trest, Jr. and his wife, Terri of Foley, AL and Richard John Trest and his wife, Deborah of Nashville, TN; six grandchildren, Heather Trest, Jeremy Trest, Kristin Trest, Matthew Ben Trest, Kelly Trest, and Laura Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Landry Trest and Emory Trest. A special thank-you goes to her beloved caregiver, Anna Niolet. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 2, 2008 from 5 until 7:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. The funeral service will be Monday, March 3, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. View and sign register book at www.bradfordokeefe.com
