Mrs. Elsie C. Tisdale, age 92, of D'Iberville, MS., died Monday, July 31, 2006, in George County, MS.
Mrs. Tisdale was a resident of the community for 80 years. She was a native of Franklinton, LA., loved cooking Gulf Coast seafood, and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bura Tisdale, parents, Joe and Annie Cates, brothers, Martin, Jim, Otis, Curtis and Collie Cates, and sisters, Louise Cates, Opal Smith and Ethel Byrd.
Survivors include a daughter, Joy Wilson of D'Iberville, MS., brother, William (Peggy) Cates of Benndale, MS., two sisters, Lois Miller of D'Iberville, MS., and Edith Desporte of Biloxi, MS., grandson, Anthony and Tonya Wilson of Atlanta, GA., three great-granddaughters, Katie, Natalie, and Meghan Wilson, and a dear friend, Lillie Miller.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 3, 2006, from 10-11 AM, with an 11 AM church service, all at Larue Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Wilkerson Cemetery in Larue.
