EMC Frederick J. Kitch, U.S. Navy Retired, age 84, of Ocean Springs, MS., went to be with the Lord, on Sunday, June 19, 2011.
Mr. Kitch was born in Mowequa, Il. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy during WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He settled on the Mississippi Gulf Coast after his retirement from the Navy. He was a member of the American Legion for over 50 years and was a member of McClellan Road Baptist Church .
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Louise Kitch, brother, Curtis Kitch, sister, Betty Woolen and a grandson, Joey Landreth.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Claire Kitch, two daughters, Jillane Landreth and Nycole (Earl) Little, two sons, David (Simone) Kitch and Charles (Donna) Kitch, sister, Martha (Ed) Kater, grandchildren, Cory Little, Tracy and Billy Landreth and six great-grandchildren.
On Thursday, June 23, 2011, there will be a 10 am graveside service in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to McClellan Road Baptist Church, 15020 McClellan Rd., North Biloxi, MS., 39532.
