Emelie Hebert Meyers

Mrs. Emelie H. Meyers, 80, of Biloxi, died Friday, December 22, 2006, in Biloxi. Mrs. Meyers was born in Maurice, LA and had been a resident of Biloxi for the past 32 years. She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church and loved gardening and cooking and caring for her dog, Lucy. Mrs. Meyers was preceded in death by a son, Steve Meyers, and her parents, Isadore and Olita Hebert. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Dave Meyers of Biloxi; daughter, Linda Suzanne Savin and her husband, Jeffrey, of Ocean Springs. and son, David Meyers of Jackson. She also had four sisters and eight brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2006, at 11 a.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Picayune Memorial Gardens in Picayune, MS. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
