Enilda "Nilda" Santos

Enilda “Nilda” Santos, 76 of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

She was born on February 16, 1948 in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico to Domingo Aponte and Josefa Burgos. She retired from Bay Atlantic Federal Credit Union after twenty-five years as a customer service representative. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, watching her favorite show, Hartland, and playing candy crush on her phone.

Nilda was preceded in death by her parents, Domingo and Josefa Aponte; siblings, Jose Aponte, Alfonso Aponte, and Margarita Moran.

She is survived by her spouse, Carlos A. Santos; children, Eliezer Santos, Annette Santos, and Anthony Santos; grandchildren, Christopher Santos, Le Andra Santos, Jalene Garcia, Ava Santos, Juliana Santos, Alec Santos, Lucas Santos, Ryan Santos; and siblings, Justina Aponte, Rafael Aponte, Jesus Aponte, and Domingo Aponte, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Nilda’s memory be made to St. Jude.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
