Erna Weems D'Anella

Erna Weems D’Anella, 88, formerly of Biloxi, MS, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in Cumming, GA. Mrs. D’Anella was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Saverio (Dan) D’Anella; her parents, Eugene and Kathryn Rhodes Weems; her sisters, Hilda Weems Jalanivich, and Nettie Weems Babuchna; her brothers, Joseph Eugene Weems and Charles Edward Weems, Sr. She is survived by her son, Danny (Audra) D’Anella of Cumming, GA; grandsons, Adam D’Anella and Chase D’Anella of Brookhaven, GA; sisters-in-law, Teresa and Assunta D’Anella of Philadelphia, PA; and sister-in-law, Doris T. Weems of Biloxi; as well as many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers a memorial donation in her honor be sent to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Nativity B.V.M. Cathedral, 870 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39530; or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601. A graveside service will be held at Southern Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
