Ernest Joseph Drohan, age 84, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 at his residence.
Ernest was born March 26, 1936 in Haverhill, MA. He graduated Haverhill High School and entered the service with the United States Airforce as Second Lieutenant where he served for 4 years. He then found a job with General Electric as an Electrical Engineer, working both Radar and Sonar for the company until retirement. He was a loving husband for 58 years and a father of five. A multitalented man, he was adventurous, curious, and always learning. He was a mechanic, pilot, wood crafter, painter, and photographer, played the guitar and organ, and had an affinity to fix anything electronic. He danced a good jig too!
He is preceded in death by grandmother Francis Makaruk, father Ernest J. Drohan Sr., mother Mary Rose Drohan, sister Francis Marie Drohan, and daughter Michele.
He is survived by his wife Rose Drohan, brother Paul Drohan, and children Evone (Ron) Zachary, Robin (Lynn) Drohan, Melanie (Ross) Triplett II, and Danella (Jason) Drohan. He is also surived by grandchildren Rebecca (Joseph) McAdams and Taylor Triplett, 8 step grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs, MS. A graveside service will be held at Crestlawn Cemetery in Ocean Springs immediately following the visitation.
