Visitation for Dr. Ernest W. Parker will begin at 10:00 am on October 5, 2017 at Union Baptist Church in Grand Bay, Alabama. Service will begin at 11:00 am with graveside service to follow. Dr. Bobby Boyles of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma will officiate the service alongside Rev. David Walley, pastor of Union Baptist Church, Dr. Randy Johnson of Bon Secour, Alabama and family friend Bro. Jason Scott of Lucedale, Mississippi. Dr. Parker was a resident of Gulfport, MS in his retirement years. He was son of the late Clarence Parker of Beaumont, MS and the late Irene Few of Columbia, MS. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Marilyn Parker; daughters, Karen Renee’ Norwood of Biloxi, MS and Kimberly Rachel Blakeney and husband Alan, of Birmingham, AL; brothers, Bernie O. Parker of Columbia, Mississippi and Pat Few of Nashville, Tennessee; sister, Donna Few Thompson of Columbia, Mississippi; and the late Frankie Few of Columbia, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Reagan Lane Norwood and Rachel Avery Norwood of Biloxi, Mississippi, and Parker Addison Blakeney of Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Ernest W. Parker served in full-time Christian ministry for 55 years serving in various capacities and spanning 6 states.
