Ethel "Lucy" McMillan

Ethel Lucille “Lucy” McMillan, 85, of Vancleave, MS passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, in Pascagoula.

She was born on November 13, 1939 in Biloxi, MS to her parents Earl and Mamie Borries. Lucy was an exceptional daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and woman. She was a member of The Vancleave Restoration Branch proclaiming the original gospel of The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Lucy was a devoted servant of Christ all of her life. Her devotion to family, her love and personality were proof of this. Lucy attended Pascagoula High School. She enjoyed reading, coloring, cooking, singing, sewing, spending time with friends and family, driving and meeting new people.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Homer Gray McMillan Sr.; children, Ginger McMillian Collins, Annette McMillan Thomas, and son-in-law David Allen Thomas Sr.; brothers, James, Leonard “Chubby”, and Jerry Borries; sisters, Laura Mae McMillan and Frances Rogers.

She is survived by her children, Melinda Thomas (Edwin), Homer McMillan Jr. (Elayna), Maria Jones (Duane), Tonya McMillan, and Michael McMillan; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Shannon Seals, Caitlin Tyson, Anice Goff, John Egbert, Mamie Salter, and the office staff of SAAD Home Health Care. Mom felt your Love.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Vancleave Chapel at 11:00 am. Friends may visit one hour prior.

There will be a private burial.
