Eugenia “Genie” Carson Webb, age 89, passed away peacefully Monday, June 17, 2024 in the presence of her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond Hill, GA.
Genie was born in Gulfport, MS and lived there most of her life. She moved to Richmond Hill three and a half years ago.
She was an active and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Gulfport and a member of the Scrap Iron Sunday School Class. Genie was a member of Gulfport Woman’s Club, the C.P.O. Wives Club, Newcomers Club, and a member of the Gulfport Garden Club.
Genie was preceded in death by her parents, Searle Hewes Carson, Sr. and Eunice Campbell Carson; her former husband, Henry Austin Terry; her sister, Betty Reeves; two brothers, Searle Carson, Jr. and Will Carson.
She is survived by her former husband, Charles Roy Webb; her two daughters, Fran Thomas (Bob) and Cindy Upton (Mike); her sister-in-law, Billye Carson. She was known as “Nanaw” to her grandchildren, Tiffany Guarisco (Joe), Kenny Upton (Christi Love), Cynthia Udinsky, Christi Pace (Ashton), and Kaylee Medve (Brandon); and “Nana” to her great-grandchildren, Holdyn, Hadley, Kiley, Mathis, Brantley, Bryden, Brody; and “Nana” to her foster great-grandboys, Nathaniel and Knox; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2024 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers were Bob Thomas, Jr., Holdyn Udinsky, Lucas Davis, Dana Stanfield, and Dakota Stanfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 1726 15th Street, Gulfport, MS with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Southern Memorial Park, Biloxi, MS. Pallbearers will be Bob Thomas, Jr., Mike Upton, Kenny Upton, Ashton Pace, Connie Sprinkell and Daniel Sprinkell. Honorary pallbearers will be Holdyn Udinsky, Joe Guarisco and Brandon Medve.
Genie’s family would like to thank Magnolia Manor Assisted Living and Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care while she was living there.
