Eula Mae Seymour VanCourt

Eula Mae Seymour VanCourt, 89, of D'Iberville, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Mrs. VanCourt was a homemaker and military spouse. She was active in the Rosary Society, Altar Society and taught CCD for many years. She was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed playing cards with her friends at the Villa Maria. Mrs. VanCourt is preceded in death by her husband, George A. (Fritz) VanCourt; parents, Alphonse and Effie Holley Seymour; son-in-law, Henry N. Dick, Jr.; sisters, Carrie Canaan and Nannette Seymour; brothers, Hilton, J.P., Morgan, Ralph and Jack Seymour. She is survived by her children, Al VanCourt (Doris), JoAnn Dick (Henry), Tony VanCourt (Marilyn), Robert VanCourt (Donna); eight grandchildren, George A. VanCourt, III (Carisa), Kristi Champagne, Henry N. Dick, III (Laurie), Steven B. Dick, Anthony VanCourt, Michael VanCourt, Bethany VanCourt and Robert B. VanCourt, Jr.; eight great-grandchildren, Allie Champagne, Cameron, Emily, Isabella, Gavin and Bryson Dick, Kai VanCourt and Landon VanCourt. The family would like to thank Ocean Springs Nursing Center Staff and Odyssey Hospice for their care of Mrs. VanCourt. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society at Sacred Heart Church in D'Iberville or Our Lady of Fatima Church in Biloxi or any charity of your choice. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, July 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D'Iberville. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Ocean Springs. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
