Mrs.Eunice B. Tindell, 87 died Saturday, January 13, 2007 in Biloxi.
Mrs. Tindell was a native of Holmes County, Florida and resident of the coast for 56 years. She was a member of the East Howard Baptist Church of Biloxi. Mrs. Tindell taught first grade at Popp's Ferry Elementry School and has been with the Bioxi school system for over 40 years, retiring in 1982.
She was a graduate of Mississippi Southern College. She was asked and taught the first integrated class at Gorenflo Elementery School.
She was preceded in death by a son, Sidney J. Tindell and a daughter, Patricia T. Hinton.
Mrs. Tindell is survived by her husband of 67 years, Sam Tindell of Biloxi; three grandchildren, Sean J. Tindell, of Gulfport, Kim H. St. Clair, of Mobile, Al and Donald E. Hinton Jr. of Hattiesburg; four great-grandchildren, Savannah St. Clair, Bayley St. Clair, Madeline Hinton, and Beau Hinton; a brother Durell Busch, of Graceville, Florida, and frien and caregiver, Rose Alexander, of Biloxi.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour prior to service.
