Evelyn M Ballard

Evelyn M Ballard, 96 of Gulfport, MS passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015. She was born on 05/21/19 in Gratis, OH. A resident of the coast since 1984, she volunteered for the Chamber of Commerce and various other organizations. She is preceded in death by her parents Logan and Elizabeth Welbaum, her husband Harley Ballard, a son Eugene Smith, a daughter Carol Moe, 4 brothers and 6 sisters. Survivors include grandsons Joseph M. Smith (Brenda), Kent J. Smith(Tonaya), Jeffery S Smith, Kurt Smith, Doug Smith and a granddaughter Staci A Smith. She had many great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. A grave side service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens on Wednesday August 12, 2015 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, Mississippi Chapter, 1900 Dunbarton Dr. Ste. H, Jackson, MS 39216.
