Mrs. Evelyn Fryou, age 85, of Ocean Springs, MS. died Wednesday, January 5, 2011, in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Fryou was a longtime resident of Ocean Springs. The last year she had resided at the Sunplex Sub-acute Center in Ocean Springs where she will be dearly missed by the friends, Nurses and Aides that she made while living there. She attended Cedar Lake Christian Assembly in Biloxi where she was very involved with her church’s Senior’s group. She loved her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends very much. She always enjoyed having fellowship (especially dessert) with them and attending as many of their functions as possible.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Nathaniel E. Fryou, seven siblings; Jack Odum, Ralph Odum, Johnny Odum, Jimmy Odum, Jaye Odum, and Wanda Bolda.
Survivors include one sibling; Lynn Williams of Las Vegas, NV (formerly of Gulfport, MS.); two brothers-in-law, Charlie Fryou of Wiggins, and Bill Bolda of Baton Rouge, LA; two sisters-in-law, Myrtle Lechner of Biloxi, and Karen odum of Joilet, IL; three children, Wayne (Janet) Fryou of Kissimmee, FL. Vicki (Walter) Gary of Ocean Springs, MS. and Tim Fryou of Gautier, MS. She has four grandchildren; Rachel (Jonathan) Mitchell of Biloxi, MS., Erica (Ian) Askew of Melbourne, FL. ; Joseph (Jamie) Fryou-King of Ocean Springs, MS. and Patrick (Anu) Gary of Elberta, AL. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; Dylan Mitchell of Biloxi, MS., Katelyn Askew of Melbourne, FL., Dustin and Cameron Gary of New Orleans, LA, and Samanth and Taisto Gary of Elberta, AL.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 10, 2011, from 9 am until 10 am, with a 10 am chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funral Home. Burial will follow in Southern Memorial Park.
