Evelyn Marie Nichols

Evelyn Marie Nichols, age 86, of D’Iberville died Saturday, November 9, 2013. Evelyn was a wonderful mother, grandmother and a friend to many. She will be missed by all who knew her. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Willard “Nick” Nichols; son, Willard “Jr.” Nichols; parents, Reasey E. and Willie Mae Byrne; step-father, Edwin Rank; brothers, Reasey, L.C. (Myrtle), and James (Virginia) Byrne; and sister, Claudell (Kerney) Yeary. Survivors include, daughters, Ann Shirey of Biloxi and Pat Olier (Ray) of D’Iberville; son, James A. Nichols (Marion) of D’Iberville; sisters, Eloise Kycek (Lou) of Melvin, FL and Ann Whetzel (Pat) of Raleigh, North Carolina; brother, Ronnie Rank of Ocean Springs grandchildren, Charlie and Michael Holmes, Ray and Theresa Olier, Scotty and Jimmy Nichols, and Stevie Broussard; 10 great grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews. Evelyn's family expresses thanks and love to Dr. Pavlov and his staff for all their love and care over the years. The family would also like to thank Saad’s Healthcare for all their love and care with special thanks to Rose, Leah, and Sophie. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park.
