Evelyn Marie Olsen

Evelyn Marie Olsen, age 82, of Vancleave, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Mrs. Olsen was a longtime member of Community of Christ Church in Vancleave, MS and a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary. She liked to bowl, fish, dance, listen to music, and felt a special pride for all her grandchildren. Mrs. Olsen is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Nina Zellman Kowalski; infant daughter, Rosemarie; son, Ellis Dean; and brother, Louis Kowalski. Survivors include her loving husband, Ellis Olsen of Vancleave, MS; daughters, Lauri (Tim) Nelson of Fergus Falls, MN, Lisa Olsen and Marketa Larson of Spokane, WA; sons, Wayne (Ann) Ouren of Puyallup, WA, Jeff Olsen of Knoxville, TN, and Randy Olsen of Los Angelos, CA; sister, Marge Thorpe; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to be made to Community of Christ Building Fund, Vancleave, MS. Services will be held Monday, March 24, 2014 at Community of Christ Church in Vancleave at 2:00 p.m. Friends may visit one hour prior. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
