Ewell "Laurine" Tims

Ewell "Laurine" Tims, 71, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi took the hand of the Lord and went to her eternal home on July 25, 2006. Mrs. Laurine was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Donald Ray "Bud" Tims Sr.; her mother Lillie Evans VanSlyke; her father, Harvey VanSlyke; her sisters, Francis Jewel Walters and Beatrice Reeves. She leaves behind the ones who will miss her the most, her daughter Donna Robinson and husband Ray of Lafayette, LA; her son Donald Ray "Buddy" Tims Jr. and wife Angelia of Ocean Springs, MS; her daughter Darlene Balius and husband Kerry of Escatawpa, MS; and her daughter Debora Tims Batchelor and husband Jason of Pass Christian, MS; her sister Mary Ellen VanSlyke Sorensen of Petal, MS and her brother James David VanSlyke and wife Fredna of Poplarville, MS. She is also survived by her grandchildren who were her angels in her life: Wendy Cooper and her husband Robbie of Pass Christian, MS; Karen and James Robinson of Layfayette, LA; Darryl and Jessica Balius of Escatawpa, MS; and Ashley and Johnathan Tims of Ocean Springs, MS; and her great-granddaughter, Audrey Laurine Cooper of Pass Christian, MS and her granddogs Miclos, Luna and Bessie-Mae Batchelor. Mrs. Laurine will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Laurine was a Christian woman and a member of Woodhaven Baptist Church of Ocean Springs, MS. She will be dearly missed by everyone and we will continue to live by the motto that represents our family "You can do anything if you put your mind to it." Visitation will be held from 5:00 till 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 28, 2006 at Woodhaven Baptist Church in Ocean Springs. Burial to follow at Crestlawn Memoral Park.
