Felix A. Johnson

Felix A. Johnson, 59, of Biloxi, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 in Biloxi. Mr. Johnson had been a member of the community for the past 30 years and a retired U. S. Air Force Msgt. He was an active member of Temple Baptist Church, Riverside Baptist Church, West End Baptist Church and Macedonia Baptist Church in Enterprise, AL. He was a jack-of-all trades and a handyman. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Johnson was a mentor to his son and a hero to his daughter. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 35 years, Yolanda Johnson; a daughter, Melissa (Kenneth) Jaye of Vancleave; a son, Christopher Johnson of Biloxi; and three grandchildren, Matthew Avant, Danielle Avant and Jessica Avant all of Biloxi; he is also survived by his parents, Felix E. and Virginia Johnson of West Point; three sisters, Mary Britt and Louise Langford both of West Point and Lynn Kyle of Columbus; and a brother, Charles Johnson of West Point. Services will be Friday, May 25, 2007 at 7:00pm at Temple Baptist Church; friends may visit one hour prior to service time. A graveside service will be Saturday, May 26 at 2:00pm in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pass Road, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
