Our heavenly Father has taken Fern Evelyn Hardison Weekley in the early morning of Friday, January 6, 2006. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY to Hollis and Virginia Hardison. She graduated from Wilson High School and moved to Southern California with her family for many years and finally made her home in Gautier, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis and Virginia Hardison, a brother, Hollis Hardison, and a nephew, Hollis (Tony) Hardison. She is survived by three daughters, Joanne K. Dominguez, Terri S. Wright, and Leslie J. Peterson, one son, Daniel G. Jay, one sister, Kristen Eberhardt, three brothers, Randy (Yank), Delton, and Russell Hardison. eleven grandchildren, Genesis Thibault, David and Mike Dominguez, Matthew and Brittany Wright, Aimee, Kenny and Kelsey Peterson, and Chad, Brad and Jennifer Jay, one great-grandchild, Miles Dominguez, nine nieces and nephews, Kelly Tubo, Sally Lewis, Wanda, Brandy, and Jason Hardison, William Rutherford, Jerry Leicht, and Russell and Carly Hardison, and one aunt, Bertha Bosso. Her extended family includes her colleagues and friends from Sav-a-Center, VFW in Ocean Springs, Horseshoes, and friends made during twenty years at Ingall's Shipbuilding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fern's honor to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS, 39507, or to the VFW Post 5699, VFW Road, Ocean Springs, MS, 39564. There will be a casual gathering to share your thoughts and memories with the family at the VFW Post 5699 in Ocean Springs on Saturday, January 7, 2006 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
